This is a message of kindness to all other artists.
I have developed my own art style, doing my very best to avoid taking motifs and ideas from other artists.
In the age of AI, it is a natural fear of other artists to see their unique voices drowned out by the derivation storm.
The "DERIVATION STORM" is what happens when AI is able to make it's own art based on images of other artists. By the very nature of what machine learning does, and training data and all that: AI has typically generated art through PURE EFFICIENT DERIVATION.
However, fellow artists, what happens when you intentionally "derive" new art by using your own original sketches?
This is Doctor Zok, a character created with my own hand. I sketched this using my Android tablet.

You may have noticed this is SUPER AWESOME. And you may have also noticed that the environment itself is based on my own work in Unreal Engine. Source image:
So the reason this is so wonderful is because it's similar to the process by which other studios make their art visible to others.
Bananuh Burburas does great 2D animation, seen on Krushtoon Network. Disc-knee did a similar process to unify their art style with rubber tube arms and their humongous team of animators to make the Disc-knee films we loved growing up. The Giraffe King would not have been possible without artist collaboration.
And that's what this is! Two artists collaborating.
