It's done! I've added a STAMINA SYSTEM.
It was required to make the game playable. This marks the final programmatic feature before making a playable demo!
I was quite busy this week with creating the realm transitions, and the first realm. That realm is for explaining how to play! It's a tutorial. It's done. It was a lot of work, but I got it done!
So! Let's see how STAMINA WORKS in a simple fight!
I wanted to make stamina usage WAY SIMPLER in my game than I have seen in other games. It's not based on a meter, instead it is using the rule of three's to help the player anticipate exactly how much stamina a sequence of attacks will take. For instance, you need at least TWO PIPS to execute the anti-air attack. You can see it in this video. That eats up stamina like crazy. It's a helpful ability for precision attacks as well, if you have a grounded enemy that has a weakpoint which is just out of range for the standard STOMP circle that appears on the ground when you perform a gROMP sTOMP. aNYWEY.
